What Is A Chemical Pregnancy?

Published by medtype1 at 10:30 am under Health Edit This

The clinical term chemical pregnancy is used in describing a very early miscarriage. With improvement in home pregnancy tests on the market today it is easier to receive a positive result, even four days before a menstrual cycle is due. These early pregnant tests will show a chemical pregnancy, one which would not have been discovered if the woman waited for her period. Most women do not know that they have experienced a chemical pregnancy, because the majority of these type of pregnancies happen in the first six weeks of pregnancy, or a missed period may not have happened yet, therefore the woman would not know she was pregnant in the first place. Chemical pregnancies are very common, occurring in approximately 50 – 60% of first pregnancies, and again, most occur without the woman realizing she is pregnant.
